The CMCH is an excellent resource for researching your family history.

The Connecticut Museum of Culture and History is a great place to start or continue research into your family history. Our collection includes printed genealogies, Connecticut town and city directories (some runs are incomplete), and local histories for New England and some non-New England states, including published vital records, church records, and cemetery inscriptions.

An onsite visit to the Waterman Research Center also provides access to the following online genealogical resources including Ancestry Library Edition, Newspapers.com (New England edition), American Ancestors, ProQuest (access to newspapers including the Hartford Courant), Fold3 (military records), and FIMo (fire insurance maps).
